In one of London’s friendliest neighbourhoods, this Victorian home in Stoke Newington underwent an unrecognisable transformation.

Our American clients appreciated the property’s period features, but years of paint buildup had diminished their definition. It was right to let the home be honest with its history.

We developed a relaxed and refined palette of neutrals, complementing natural materials and textures, and drenched each room in its chosen colour. Responding to the home’s unique light, our palette shifted from soft, relaxed tones to striking, deep shades, creating beautiful depth and interest throughout.

Initially, our clients considered painting the damaged red brick exterior cream, believing they “should.” However, when it comes to building palettes, there are no “shoulds.” Instead, we opted for an off-black, providing a stunning contrast to the delicate shades inside, and the result looked and felt incredible.
